- 1 1/2 cups Flour
- 1/8 tsp Salt
- 2 tsps Baking Soda
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
- 1/2 cup Butter Melted
- 1 Tbsp Molasses
- 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
- 1/4 cup Honey
- 1 Egg
- 2 tsps Vanilla
- 3/4 cup Milk
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a bowl mix together the flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
In a separate bowl combine the melted butter, molasses, brown sugar, and honey. Add the egg, vanilla, and milk. Mix it together and then combine it with the dry ingredients. Mix batter until smooth.
Line the bottom of either a loaf tin or a cake tin, with wax paper, or spray with cooking spray.
Pour your batter into your baking tin, and bake for 30 minutes.
Remove from the oven and let cool 10 minutes before eating!
Lining the bottom of your pan: To easily line the bottom of your loaf tin, place your loaf tin on your wax paper. Using a pencil, trace around the edge of your loaf tin. Use scissors to cut out the shape. Your wax paper will be the same size as your loaf tin.
Testing the doneness of your cake: To test the doneness of your cake, insert a toothpick into the center. If it comes out clean, your cake is done!
